Cameron McKay

Cameron McKay is a security analyst and M.A. candidate at King’s College London. He has worked on intelligence and foreign policy with Canada’s federal government.

Bio

Cameron McKay has spent the last five years in Ottawa working for the Canadian federal government. He previously worked with the Privy Council Office and most recently within the Ministry of Public Safety, focusing on international security issues, intelligence and foreign relations. Beyond his experience in the Canadian public sector, Cameron has advised international non-governmental organizations on counterterrorism and counter-radicalization efforts and contributed to research on the rise of the global far-right. Most recently, he co-developed the world’s first comprehensive data set analyzing the use of artificial intelligence in electoral interference during the 2024 election cycle, receiving international media coverage.

Currently based at King’s College London in the United Kingdom, Cameron is completing his M.A. in intelligence and international security in the Department of War Studies, where his research utilizes AI modelling to investigate hostile state influence within Western far-right online communities in the 2025 period. Previously, Cameron received his undergraduate honours degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa.
