Bio
Alonso Muñoz Sanchez is a Digital Policy Hub undergraduate fellow and holds a B.A. with a double major in international relations and public policy from the University of Toronto. As a part of the fellowship, his research explored how governments can reduce the carbon footprint of artificial intelligence (AI) while leveraging its potential to accelerate the net-zero energy transition.
He has published research and commentary on geopolitics, artificial intelligence governance and social innovation in The Hill Times, Open Canada and the Stanford Social Innovation Review, and presented his work at conferences in Amsterdam, Waterloo and New York City. Alonso’s professional experience spans public affairs consulting and policy advocacy.
